Why does Soul Care offer affordable therapy?

At Soul Care Christian Counselling, we believe that financial barriers should not prevent individuals from accessing quality mental health care. Our Affordable Therapy offering is designed to make counselling more accessible through complimentary and reduced-cost sessions. Through this offering, clients have an opportunity to experience therapy, build a therapeutic relationship, and explore their mental health needs in a compassionate and supportive environment.

What happens in my free sessions?

Your first three complimentary sessions provide an opportunity to begin exploring your mental health needs, establish a therapeutic relationship, and identify areas where additional support may be beneficial. Together with your therapist, you’ll have space to explore your experiences, develop greater self-awareness, and consider meaningful steps toward your mental health and wellness goals.

Is there a time limit for the free sessions?

We encourage clients to complete their three complimentary sessions within approximately six weeks of their first appointment to support consistency and continuity of care. Scheduling accommodations may be considered based on individual circumstances.

What if my sessions go past May 31, 2027?

Our current reduced-cost Affordable Therapy offering concludes on May 31, 2027. Clients who begin therapy on or before this date will receive their first three sessions complimentary, even if some of these sessions take place after May 31, 2027. Beginning June 1, 2027, additional paid sessions will transition to the regular rate of $170 per session.

What happens after my three free sessions?

Clients who wish to continue will have the opportunity to discuss ongoing care options with their therapist, and sliding-scale arrangements may be considered based on individual financial circumstances and availability.

What therapy approaches are used?

Our Affordable Therapy offering provides a compassionate, collaborative, and trauma-informed approach to counselling. Approaches are tailored to each client’s unique needs, experiences, and treatment goals.

Who provides the sessions?

Services are provided by an Associate Therapist in Training practising under clinical supervision. Our approach is culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and honours each client’s unique experiences, values, and needs. We are committed to supporting continuity of care and ensuring clients are informed of session fees and available options throughout their therapeutic journey.
