How to get started
- Choose a service: individual, couples, family, group or affordable therapy.
- Choose a therapist: browse profiles by specialty, or ask us to match you.
- Book a free consultation on Jane: new clients start with a free consultation, then book ongoing sessions. Times on Jane are shown in Eastern time.
Your first session
Your first session is a chance to share what brings you in, ask questions, and decide together on next steps. Individual sessions are typically 50 minutes. You set the pace, and you choose how much faith is part of your sessions.
Before your first session
Fees
Individual sessions start at $170. A limited number of sliding scale spots are available based on financial need, at each therapist’s discretion. Payment is due 24 hours before your session, by credit card or e-transfer.

Insurance and receipts
Many extended health plans cover therapy. Here is how it works:
- Check your coverage first. Before your first session, confirm with your insurance provider that your therapist's designation is covered under your plan. You will find each therapist's credentials on their profile.
- Pay for your session. Payment is due 24 hours before your session, by credit card or e-transfer.
- Receive your receipt. We send you a receipt after each session.
- Submit to your insurance. Send your receipt to your provider for reimbursement.
Virtual sessions
All of our sessions are virtual, by secure video, so you can meet with us from anywhere in Canada. Most of our clients are in Alberta and Ontario, including Edmonton, Toronto and Ottawa. All you need is a private space and a phone or computer with a camera. Your secure video link comes from Jane.
Privacy
What you share in therapy is confidential, with the limits every registered therapist must follow, which your therapist will explain in your first session. Your records are kept in Jane, a secure health records platform.
